My girlfriends skis weren't working for her on the first day, we weren't really sure why, so we went back to the ski shop and changed them. The staff were really helpful in working out why that particular ski wasn't right for her and replacing it quickly.

Rental experience was fine once we'd got out equipment - you just need a better system for managing the rental process on a busy changeover day - it was chaos and stressful. I've been renting equipment in different places for last 30 years and this was far more stressful than I am used to.
