Generally it is good if you choose the right times to go when it is not too crowded and the equipment is good.. The gym clearly is not big enough for the number of members it has and this effects the experience. The biggest issue is that many members seems t o have zero respect for other people, often treadmills are disgusting and covered in sweat. Weights and equipment are not put back and the gym is often messy and the general attitude seems to be, fuck it, I am done so someone can clean up after me. The attitude is contagious, if few people act like this others will follow, ¨well if they don´t clean up after themselves why should I¨, it is such a childish and selfish attitude from some members that really effects the vibe and feel of the gym for others. In some gyms there are signs or videos advising members to clean up after themselves, this creates some social pressure to be conscious and respectful of others and their experience. Is it that hard to program something on the treadmill screens advising people to clean after use? Or even a small sign in the cardio area? Similarly in the weights area? I am not sure why FP does not do this, but clearly trying to catch members who do this or clean up after them will not solve the problem. Yes, FP does not want to be cheap like Anytime, but as a gym marketing itself as more premium does this mean that members should not be reminded to be respectful, of course not. Overall, this is a public space, even if it is paid for, and FP needs to be more in control of this space to create the correct vibe for all members, and not be afraid of upsetting some members who are not mature enough to respect the space of all. It actually feels like FP does not care about the experience it is creating, just about getting as many people in the gym as possible.
