Everything related to booking my ski equipment prior to arriving in resort went as expected. I also benefited from a 50% discount which made hiring equipment very reasonable.

When we collected the skis the person was very busy. We thought the skis looked a bit worn. The return was very efficient. We were disappointed the ski deposit was up a slope.

The hire process itself was nice and quick, which I appreciated and was probably the smoothest part of the experience.
Unfortunately, the customer service let things down. Staff at around 8:30am seemed absolutely miserable, to the point where it felt like I was inconveniencing them. My very first interaction involved being told I was at the wrong Intersport location, which I wasn't — not the best start.
There were also issues with the bindings. The toe straps wouldn't tighten properly, which I flagged at the time of collection. I was given a fairly dismissive response along the lines of “you just need to use the ratchet properly”. Despite this, the bindings kept coming loose throughout the weekend, which was frustrating and affected the ride.
In terms of equipment, I was expecting a slightly better board for the category booked. That said, I did enjoy riding the Nitro board overall.
Overall, a mixed experience — efficient hire process, but poor attitude from staff and avoidable equipment issues.
